Derek O'Brian (played by Troy Guthrie) is an American refugee who found his voice in the organization known as the United Peace Movement. It was here where he found his best friend Rebecca. O'Brian's family were killed in a riot outside of San Diego, California, thus causing him to leave his country behind forever and join those aboard the Paradise, a US frieghter bound for a new neutral colony in Australia. On the way to Australia, the Paradise was attacked, and Rebecca lost trace of her family. Now seperated, Rebecca was lost in a violent new world devoid of authority. With the remains of his own family close to his heart, O'Brian has made it his own mission to reunite his friend with her mother and father and twin sister Rebecca. Time will only tell if this mission can be completed.

Troy Guthrie is a California native, having been born in San Diego, and growing up in Southern and Northern California. Troy has always been accustomed to singing, and acting, and has been performing in Musical theatre since the age of 9. After graduating from Acalanes High School in Lafayette, Troy is attending Chapman University 's College of Performing Arts to obtain his Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance. He plans to continue his education in Vocal Performance and pursue his career in Film and Theatre. Troy is excited to get the opportunity to work with Matthew Charles Hall, Ryan Hall, and all of his co-stars. “This has been a fun, exciting, and interesting experience, and one that I will never forget.
