Rebecca (played by Crystal Cooper), a stranded survivor from an American bombing in San Diego, finds shelter aboard the rescue freighter Rebel. Here she has befriended the young Derek O'Brian who will assist her in looking for the remnants of her family. Nearly six months at sea has allowed this young woman to grow accustomed to a lifestyle that once was alien. It now is mandatory in order to survive such a hostile world.

Crystal Cooper was previously seen onscreen in a brief yet noted role in Matt Hall's Projections for which she received much praise. That role led her to play that of “Rebecca” in her feature film debut, Dark Horizon . Even at a young age, Crystal was involved both as an actor and performer. At age fifteen she was apart of the musical group Harmony which performed with such talents as Lindsay Lohan and Koolio which led her to work with two time Oscar® winning songwriter and two-time Tony Award nominee Al Kasha ( The Poseidon Adventure , The Towering Inferno, Pete's Dragon ).

As an actress, she has been seen opposite Matt Hall onstage in The Sound of Music and Oklahoma , both directed by casting director Beverly Holloway. She recently was seen at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, California where she played the lead role in Book of Esther , an original musical.
